ode to mr. coffee

mr. coffee was given to us as wedding gift almost 12 years ago. he served us well, and surprisingly, i didn't even have to get a new carafe by breaking the original one!!!! all of his parts are original. this may have been the best coffee pot a coffee-loving couple could have ever had. we will miss you, mr. coffee - you hold a special place in our hearts.

for the record, mr. coffee's hot plate quit working last week. he has been replaced by a new machine, of a different brand, and only time will tell if the new coffee maker holds any competition against mr. coffee.
