addie was picked as the class helper (finally! - she was one of 3 kids who hadn't been picked) and she got to take home sam the bear!
she is loving him!

on day 2, we took the kids for a relatively short hike along the Lyle fork of the Tuolumne River. Inara, it turns out, is a serious rock hound. I could barely keep her moving forward. she must have handed me 30 rocks during this hike.

when we came to this spot in the river, we stopped to wade in the cold water and have a snack on the rocks.

The girls are all dirty because I let them make dirt castles while Terri and Leigh climbed to the top.

After Addie and I returned to our lunch area, Leigh and Terri set off across the side of the dome for the top.
